Advertising Policy
Editorial independence
Advertisers and sponsors do not influence what we write, how we rate or compare products, or whether we publish something. Our editorial team decides what to cover; commercial relationships never buy a recommendation.
Sponsored content
- Sponsored articles are clearly labeled with a disclosure line naming the sponsor, for example: “Disclosure: this article was paid for by [Sponsor].”
- Every outbound link in a sponsored article carries
rel="sponsored". - Sponsored articles are edited to our usual standards and fact-checked like any other article. Sponsors do not get to approve or veto editorial content.
Contributed content
Outside experts may write for us. Their work is labeled Contributor in the byline, goes through the same editing and fact-checking as in-house work, and is never presented as in-house work. See Contribute.
Affiliate links
If an article contains affiliate links – links where we may earn a commission if you buy through them – the article will say so. Affiliate relationships never change our recommendations.
What we do not do
We do not sell links disguised as editorial content. We do not publish paid placements without disclosure, and we do not let any commercial relationship affect our comparisons or conclusions.
